Attached is the updated Athletic Program handbook.  The handbook outlines the Team Manager / Parent Support responsibilities.  Please review and let us know if you have any questions.

 

Your drivers should have finalized the process to be cleared to drive through the online volunteer management system: l Be A Mentor

 

Please remember to make sure that “ALL DRIVERS” have been cleared by “BE A MENTOR.”    The same rule applies to overnight chaperones!

 

This can be done by:

 

1)      Having the driver show you their “email notification” verifying approval

2)      Providing me with a list of drivers/chaperones for confirmation

If you still need clearance/player packets for your drivers please let the Athletic Director Megan Fortayon mfortayon@srvusd.net know and her office will make as many copies as you need.

 

Please ensure a reminder in your weekly communications to ask for team donations from your parents.  You may share this info from the DVHS bookkeeper.   Any programs that reaches  75% Received category will receive a bonus of $500 from Athletic Boosters. To run successful programs our teams need to hit budget. Please talk to your coach about your team budget for the season. Teams that don't meet their needs will have to consider additional fundraising for their season. Parents can go to the online Webstore or submit a check to the bookkeeper's office with the player's name and student ID in the memo. The statistics are public, yet the family/player info is anonymous. The below data is shared with the coaches so they know their program funds and standings by %.  Donations by player name are 100% private and maintained ONLY by the DVHS Bookkeepers.

 

San Ramon restaurants are already taking reservations for school fundraisers and now is the time to include The Athletics in their fall schedules!   The Athletics is invited to host a fundraiser at local restaurants like Dos Coyotes Border Cafe, Mountain Mike's Pizza, and On Fire Pizza, who are donating 15 - 20% of sales back to Dougherty Valley High School groups. To book a fundraiser just view restaurants giving back, select a date, then submit your request online.

 

 

Calling all shutterbugs! Looking for photos to put on the DVHS Athletics website.  Please send photos taken during games, matches, meets to Athletic Director, Megan Fortayon (mfortayon@srvusd.net).

 

Make sure to schedule facilities for your end of season awards banquet.  Refer to the handbook for more information.
