The Teachers and Staff at Dougherty Valley High School are committed to your success. The following are some of the Academic Support programs available to assist you. Follow the links for more information on each program.
Academic Enrichment - The purpose of Academic Enrichment is to learn and apply effective academic skills and integrate these skills in all areas of coursework to improve student success. Click on the link for further information.
AVID - Advancement Via Individual Determination - AVID provides students with techniques and strategies for effective study and success both in High School and College Courses. Plot your course to follow your dreams! Use this AVID link (coming soon) for more details.
Tutoring - Academic Leadership peer tutors are available during Access in room 4102. You can request a tutor here.
Exam Jam - DVHS teachers provide extra assistance and review in the library and and in the classroom to prepare for final exams. Sessions may be held after school, at Access period or even at lunch. Take the stress out of finals! Exam Jam schedules will be posted each semester, two weeks before final exams.
Peer Tutoring - CSF students are eager to help you! Peer tutoring is available after school in the library nearly every day. Please contact or Ms. Wilson (CSF) to request peer tutoring information.
Access Period - Access period is designed for you! Use these 40 minute periods to get additional instruction or information from a teacher, visit an enrichment session in the Library or Career Center, catch up on homework, collaborate on a group project and more.
