Steps For Taking Non-District Courses

Read Policy: Review the SRVUSD Non-District Course Policy.

Verify & Register: Confirm the course is A-G approved, then register.

Submit Intent Form: Complete the 2026–2027 Non-District Course Intent Form by June 12 for summer advancement and graduation requirements. (Note: Use this form for fall or spring courses for the 2026–2027 school year.)

Complete Course: Take the course and earn a final grade.

Send Transcripts: Request an official transcript through Parchment sent directly to Registrar Brissa Jimenez (bjimenez@srvusd.net) by the posted deadline.

Apply for Credit (Optional): Fill out the Application to Place Credit form only if you want the course added to your SRVUSD transcript.
Note: Submitting the Application to Place Credit form requests adding the course to your DVHS transcript. Once added, the course cannot be removed for any reason (including advancement, enrichment, graduation, or remediation).
Important Details:
Submit official transcripts and the Application to Place Credit (only required to add credit to an SRVUSD transcript, not for course advancement) by the following deadlines for the 2026–2027 school year:
Note for Incoming 8th Graders: Non-District Courses (NDCs) must be completed after June 4, 2026, or listed under the Summer 2026 term to be added to high school transcripts.

August 10, 2026 — Course Advancement: You must submit an official transcript in order to advance into the next level course. Transcripts must be ordered through Parchment (order by August 7, 2026, to guarantee delivery by the deadline).

September 4, 2026 — Summer Credit: Complete the Application to Place Credit form and submit official transcripts to add a Summer 2026 NDC to your SRVUSD transcript.

January 8, 2027 — Fall Credit: Deadline to add Fall 2026 NDCs to your SRVUSD transcript.

May 21, 2027 — Spring Credit: Deadline to add Spring 2027 NDCs to your SRVUSD transcript.

Community College Extension: Extended to May 28, 2027 for 9th–11th grade students in community college courses ending in late May.
